Description Colin Macdonald 2003-12-06 03:05:17 UTC
I'm using gimp-print 4.3.21 (latest in Gentoo unstable) with an Epson C42UX. A
thin black line appears at the top of every page I print. Apparently this is
fixed in 4.3.22:

"A bug in the CUPS driver whereby a thin black line was sometimes
printed at the very top of the page has been fixed."
(from http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/gimp-print/print/NEWS?rev=1.132)

I notice gimp-print's project page (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-print/)
on sourceforge that gimp-print 4.3.25 is out (only 4.3.21 is listed on their
news page).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Buy a Epson C42UX (actually don't: this printer is cheap but chugs ink!)
2. print a page
3. examine the top of the page

Actual Results:
thin black line appears at the top

Expected Results:
not printed a thin black line! :-)

I forgot to mention that I have the "-foomaticdb" USE flag set because I get much better results this way.

I added 4.3.25 to portage :)
