I use gnome 2.32.0 and sys-power/pm-utils 1.4.1-r1 .
When I suspend my machine , I can hear my hard disk halt once and then it works again . 
Also I can not hibernate. 
My computer is thinkpad w500.

Please use our forums to get support for your problem.

If a genuine bug then appears to need fixing, please reopen this bug report, and:

1) Paste your `emerge --info' output in a comment.
2) Attach your kernel .config.

Right now there is no bug here, just something that basically doesn't happen to work, without a single hint at the cause of the problem (and this happens to be no support forum but a bug tracker).
