Description augury 2011-01-12 21:40:30 UTC
The sys-libs/glibc has numerous unnecessary redundancies.

Nothing warrants redundancy.

The object orientation that swarms around all greater tasks seems to have become to great for the maintainers to track on this toolchain.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Actual Results:
breakage, inconsistancy

Expected Results:
some level of sanity

Ebuilds should in _complete_ thoughts. Everything should be completed in a designated section as quickly as possible.

Should provide a build environment that is flexible, maintainable and dependable.

Well, are you sure about that? glibc is one of our most important toolchain packages, and we support many architectures and environments. I resolve this as INVALID cause I think that there isn't any "unnecessary" redundancy somewhere. If you still want us to process it, make a list of serious examples and if you're *absolutely* sure about what you're saying, reopen the bug. I'm writing it again, "you have to be certain".

Thank you for your report.
