Description Scott 2011-01-11 19:23:10 UTC
When executing tsclient from the menu in XFCE (and judging by the tsclient.desktop file, this would affect multiple desktop environments), nothing happens. I am forced to launch tsclient from the command line to use it. The reason appears to be the Exec setting in the desktop file:

$ fgrep Exec /usr/share/applications/tsclient.desktop
Exec=tsclient -s %u

The -s option allows the specification of a previously created session or file, and is passed a %u, or URL/File Path. Since I have no previous sessions, clearly this will fail.

I then set up a session and used it (by starting tsclient manually on the command line). When attempting to launch tsclient from the menu, again nothing happens.

I believe the Exec line in the desktop file should be changed to:

Exec=tsclient

As is often required, here is my emerge --info:

$ emerge --info

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to XFCE Menu, Network, Terminal Services Client
2. Nothing happens.
Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
The tsclient window should appear.

I am running XFCE 4.6 desktop with support for gnome services; I used gnome screen saver and gnome power management and additionally have the gconf editor installed.
