Description Ruslan U. Zakirov 2011-01-09 20:34:08 UTC
Hello,

MANPATH and MANPATH_MAP settings are set incorrectly to not prefixed values. I don't mind it searching OSX man pages, but anyway it should start from portage's paths.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install prefixed portage
2. man portage
3.

how does your MANPATH look like? MANPATH_MAP is unknown to me, so it probably is left untouched

cat /opt/portage/etc/man.conf | grep MANPATH
...
MANPATH /usr/share/man
MANPATH /usr/local/share/man
MANPATH /usr/X11R6/man
MANPATH /usr/local/man
MANPATH /usr/man
...

Added prefix to those manually. man now finds portage's man pages.

OSX's man paths are:

MANPATH /usr/share/man
MANPATH /usr/local/share/man
MANPATH /usr/X11/man

It would be cool if default man.conf in the prefix contained portage's paths first and then system's. However, just properly prefixed paths would fine.
