Hello, MANPATH and MANPATH_MAP settings are set incorrectly to not prefixed values. I don't mind it searching OSX man pages, but anyway it should start from portage's paths. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install prefixed portage 2. man portage 3.
how does your MANPATH look like? MANPATH_MAP is unknown to me, so it probably is left untouched
cat /opt/portage/etc/man.conf | grep MANPATH ... MANPATH /usr/share/man MANPATH /usr/local/share/man MANPATH /usr/X11R6/man MANPATH /usr/local/man MANPATH /usr/man ... Added prefix to those manually. man now finds portage's man pages. OSX's man paths are: MANPATH /usr/share/man MANPATH /usr/local/share/man MANPATH /usr/X11/man It would be cool if default man.conf in the prefix contained portage's paths first and then system's. However, just properly prefixed paths would fine.
hmmm, you're right, same here
fixed in man-1.6f-r05.1, thanks
