Created attachment 259240 [details] build log
I've reproduce it on amd64/ppc64 so it's not arch depended. Won't block security stabilization though.
I can't reproduce this at all. And the build log doesn't seem to be complete (I see a lot more output from perl in the test phase in my logs). Can you try the usual: 1) disable ccache 2) try with FEATURES=userpriv but mostly this: 3) run perl-cleaner Having more information about the version and USE flags for perl would be nice too.
on amd64 it was just missing dep on: dev-perl/IO-String (fatal) dev-perl/Test-Pod (only warning) that caused the errors during test. I'll recheck ppc later on.

(In reply to comment #4) > on amd64 it was just missing dep on: > dev-perl/IO-String (fatal) > dev-perl/Test-Pod (only warning) > that caused the errors during test. I'll recheck ppc later on. Er, you didn't have the DEPENDencies installed for USE=test? So this bug is invalid?
(In reply to comment #6) > Er, you didn't have the DEPENDencies installed for USE=test? So this bug is > invalid? yeah, I wonder how I managed to that...
