The window size of GCompris is wrong and shrinks while the program is running. This happens approx. every second until the window is very small. Maybe it has something to to with the window manager. I haven't checked this yet. Used window manager: x11-wm/fvwm-2.5.28 GCompris version: games-kids/gcompris-9.2.2 CGompris version 8.4.12 is OK.
Steps To Reproduce: Start gcompris, Goto configuration and disable fullscreen.

try it with some other window manager. Also try 9.5 and see if it's any different.
OK, i have tried xfwm4-4.6.2. It worked. So it's a problem with fvwm? I even moved .fvwm out of the way and tried CGomris with fvwm again. The problem persists. So it's not an fvwm configuration problem.
The new version 9.6.1 works now. The bug is gone. So I set this issue to resolved.
