i was tryed compile 2.6.37-rc kernel and its failed compile with message about backlight. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge 2.6.37-rcX kernel 2. sure that you dont have backlight support at'all (probably with nouveau enabled) 3. try compile Actual Results: kernel failed to compile with error about backlight.
