Description Andreas Klauer 2011-01-01 12:34:32 UTC
I uploaded a bunch of files using yafc today, however to my suprise every other filename was corrupted. yafc would upload htaccsss instead of htaccess, ncc instead of inc, etc. etc. Took some time to remove all those corrupt filenames...

I didn't analyze this problem in more detail (my site was down during this operation and I had to get it back up and running asap). However checking the yafc project bug tracker, someone else already reported the same problem, including a patch.

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3146649&group_id=11340&atid=111340

I haven't tested the patch either (may do so later when I have time); however if the Gentoo version of yafc has a filename corruption problem, it has to be either fixed, or masked, or reverted to an older version that is problem free. Otherwise someone else will risk breaking his site tomorrow...

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Andreas Klauer 2011-01-01 13:06:51 UTC
Tested the patch; it applies and it seems to fix the corruption problem, however that's only for the actual filenames. The info messages printed by yafc are still showing corrupt filenames like file.xtt instead of file.txt. So that's not exactly comforting...

I used yafc for a long time without any issue whatsoever, not sure where those issues are coming from now. Hopefully someone can find the time to fix it...

Correction: Patch seems to work fine for me, the problems I had after applying the patch were actually caused by ccache.

This should be resolved in 1.1.2. Can we confirm this please before I close it?

sorry, that was a mistake. 1.1.2 is back in tree. reopen if the problem persists.
