net-im/pidgin-2.7.5 installs /usr/bin/purple-remote. purple-remote requires dev-python/dbus-python (it runs "import dbus" on line 3). However, net-im/pidgin-2.7.5 does not depend on dev-python/dbus-python. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install net-im/pidgin (with the dbus use flag; I haven't tried without the dbus use flag yet). I get the same results whether or not I enable the python use flag. 2. Make sure dev-python/dbus-python is not installed (if it is, it's probably pulled-in by something else). 3.
