Description Guido Winkelmann 2010-12-29 02:11:06 UTC
x11-base/xorg-server-1.9.2.902 and x11-base/xorg-server-1.9.2 won't build on my system. The compilation of glxdri2.lo will stop with this error message:

  CC glxdri2.lo
glxdri2.c: In Funktion »__glXDRIdrawableSwapBuffers«:
glxdri2.c:221: Fehler: »__DRI2flushExtension« hat kein Element namens »flushInvalidate«

(I have no idea why the error message is in german, even after I did "unset LANG LC_ALL")

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -uvDN world

Actual Results:
Compilation of the X server stops at glxdri2.lo.

Expected Results:
xorg-server should be compiled and installed

Comment 2 Guido Winkelmann 2010-12-29 02:19:35 UTC
By the way, the mentioned struct "__DRI2flushExtension" apparently comes from /usr/include/GL/internal/dri_interface.h, which belongs to media-libs/mesa. Mesa is version 7.9 on my sytem.

Could you post the output of `emerge -DuN world -pv`?

Thanks

# emerge -DuN world -pv

Comment 5 Guido Winkelmann 2011-01-01 18:12:35 UTC
I just found out that I had some old Mesa header files still lying around from some experiment I forgot about. I deleted the old include files in /usr/local/include, and now the package can be merged successfully.
