The postinst elog for app-emulation/virtualbox-guest-additions-[3.1.8-r2|3.2.10|3.2.12] states: "Please add users to the "vboxusers" group so they can benefit from seamless mode, auto-resize and clipboard."

The message should actually say "vboxguest". "vboxguest" is used to permit users to start various client services within a guest, while "vboxusers" is used to permit users to use the VirtualBox application within a host.
