The trailers in the link you posted are working fine here with gecko-mediaplayer-1.0.0 (see bug 346187) so 0.9.9.2 is not intresting (or supported) anymore. If it still fails with 1.0.0, please report it upstream at: http://code.google.com/p/gecko-mediaplayer/ Thanks

These 2 lines to /etc/portage/package.keywords <media-video/gnome-mplayer-9999 <www-plugins/gecko-mediaplayer-9999 And # emerge -av gecko-mediaplayer You should see a upgrade. Reopen this bug if the problem stays after upgrade.
