Gaim 0.74 has a memory leak in the logging code, this ebuild applies a patch
that fixes it.

I believe gaim-0.74-r1 already has this patch.  I'll leave it to lostlogic to confirm.

You should at least remove the 0.74.ebuild from the portage ... I'm looking for 1 week what's causing my RAM to be full !!!!!

it doesnt matter, 0.74-r1 has KEYWORDS that override 0.74

Yes if you had done an emerge -up world you should have seen a new version of gaim waiting for you.  emerge -l gaim would tell you that we placed the memory leak fix in.

I plan on removing a lot of the older ebuilds anyway later on after talking with lostlogic.
