A very simple workaround is: # emerge unmerge alsa-lib # emerge libao # emerge alsa-lib
Created attachment 21736 [details, diff] Patch to compile against alsa 1.0 Here's a patch I found by googling around.
Created attachment 21737 [details] Updated ebuild to use alsa 1.0 patch
With the two attachments, libao compiled fine. Good luck ;-)
I forgot to mention where I found this patch : http://codex.sourcemage.org/test/audio-libs/libao/
heh. just fixed this in cvs with a patch from the same source :) Thanks for reporting anyway.
