After installing bootchart, this message is displayed: * Post the file /var/log/bootchart.tgz here: * http://www.bootchart.org/download.html * to render the chart That website doesn't have any form for posting the bootchart.tgz file, so I wonder if this post-emerge message is out-of-date. Also, the post-install message includes this: * For best results: * Enable BSD process accounting v3 in the kernel * This will produce more accurate process trees www.bootchart.org/docs.html says that enabling BSD process accounting v3 requires installation of the sys-process/acct package. I see that there is a USE flag for app-benchmarks/bootchart to enable "acct" -- but the post-emerge message doesn't mention this USE flag. Rather, the post-emerge message seems to indicate that simply enabling the kernel option is enough. So, I propose that the USE flag be mentioned as part of the BSD process accounting option. Reproducible: Always
thank you for pointing this out. i fixed that in the ebuilds. i hope it makes more sense now.
