Comment 5 Jason Rhinelander 2003-12-11 16:59:07 UTC
I've been having the same problem as Chris (comment 4) for docbook-sgml-utils-0.6.12, -r1, and now -r2 as well. As I really couldn't care less about these packages, I've simply masked them and forgotten about them, though it'd be nice not to have to mask them every time a new -r bump comes out.
Comment 6 Mike Gardiner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-12 01:40:56 UTC
My apologies for not getting back to you earlier. It looks like a catalogs-gone-funny problem, which you could first try to fix by remerging sgml-dtd-3.1 with emerge =docbook-sgml-dtd-3.1-r1.
Comment 7 Michal Luczak 2003-12-12 08:24:17 UTC
unfortunately after succesfull emerge =docbook-sgml-dtd-3.1-r1
I still have the same problem ...

Comment 8 Mike Gardiner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-19 20:44:41 UTC
Righto, let's go through this one.

o Does /etc/sgml/catalog list CATALOG "/etc/sgml/sgml-docbook-3.1.cat"
o Does /etc/sgml/sgml-docbook-3.1.cat list CATALOG "/usr/share/sgml/docbook/sgml-dtd-3.1/catalog"
o Does /usr/share/sgml/docbook/sgml-dtd-3.1/catalog exist ?

Comment 11 Mike Gardiner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-30 07:27:28 UTC
Michal, the reason this is particularly odd is that in the log, jade actually appears to find the catalog, (as it mentions the DTD not containing something). Can you also post the output of SGML_CATALOG_FILES ? This one's got me puzzled.
Comment 12 Michal Luczak 2004-01-07 01:04:25 UTC

Comment 13 Mike Gardiner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-07 02:13:59 UTC
I really meant the output of echo $SGML_CATALOG_FILES, but that's my fault for not being specific. Do you need xhtml1 for something in particular ? Can you try removing that (emerge -C) and re merging docbook-sgml-utils ? Sorry about this, like I said, this one's a bit difficult. Thanks.
Comment 14 Michal Luczak 2004-01-12 06:52:40 UTC
Wow ... it's a correct answer ... :-)
Thanks

i did something like this:
emerge unmerge =app-text/xhtml1-20020801-r1

emerge app-text/docbook-sgml-utils

Comment 15 Michal Luczak 2004-01-16 07:42:57 UTC
Ok now it works for me :-)
but there should me any conflict with
app-text/xhtml1
