Comment 1 Brian Jackson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-01 17:56:37 UTC
unable to reproduce, resync and try again
Comment 2 Michaelian Ennis 2003-12-01 18:42:07 UTC
Same thing, only happens on one machine and only that ebuild. All other ebuilds (that I have used) are fine. Disk is not full. What can I do to provide additional information? Or shall we write it off as a fluke?
Comment 3 Brian Jackson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-12-01 22:08:51 UTC
Can you send the version of kernel eclass on that box? Better yet, just delete the kernel eclass and the entire gentoo-sources dir from portage and resync.
Comment 4 Michaelian Ennis 2003-12-03 15:55:54 UTC
deleted kernel.eclass and re-emerged portage
# $Header: /home/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/eclass/kernel.eclass,v 1.43 2003/12/01 19:09

deleted all source trees but the current kernels

emerge sync

 emerge world -Up
>>> --upgradeonly implies --update... adding --update to options.

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies ...done!

system no longer trying to emerge new sources
