Description John Lyon 2003-11-30 20:40:41 UTC
Working with mailman 2.1.2-r1, and following the documentation given in the
Virtual-Mailhosting Guide (which is out of date for mailman), I set up mailman.
Using the web-interface, I can administer and modify the test list, but not
create new ones. Upon further analysis of the logs, it is because mailman is
trying to write to the aliases.db file, which does not exist. I'm assuming that
since it is not mentioned in the mailhosting guide, that it is supposed to be
created automatically

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge mailman 2.1.2-r1
2. follow directions mailhosting guide
3. use web-interface to create new lists

Actual Results:
Web page displayed showing a stack trace and listing information about the
server. An email list record was created, but the new list did not work.

Expected Results:
A working email list that could be administered through the web.

Running postfix 2.0.11
Running apache 2.0.48-r1

seems to be a 2.1.2 problem

please try 2.1.4
if still crashes, please attach the bugpage
