When you want to define Portage' behaviour, you need to define several variables. Some of them (more precisely NOCOLOR and AUTOCLEAN) are binary variables. But NOCOLOR wants true|false, while AUTOCLEAN wants yes|no.

Can we have this be more consistent in the future?

AUTOCLEAN isn't supported anymore and will be removed (= no way to disable it).
