Description Ed Suominen 2003-11-30 00:59:08 UTC
After doing an emerge -U world, I noticed that OpenOffice would freeze when
trying to render fonts even a little bit out of the ordinary. After much weeping
and gnashing to teeth, I finally found that using direct font paths in
XF86Config instead of XFS prevented this problem.

I run LTSP, and OpenOffice seems to have no trouble rendering the fonts with XFS
on the thin clients. It only freezes when the LTSP server's X server is using
XFS instead of font paths.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

You would probably best report this to openoffice itself. It seems that there is a bug in code that tries retrieve the actual fonts from the server. The bug is certainly not caused by the bin ebuild.
