Hello, celt-0.9.0 was released on 6th November, please bump it. Changes: "CELT 0.9.0 mainly focuses on quality improvements. The transient handling code has been greatly improved and high-frequency artefacts have been reduced. There have also been lots of small improvements from better tuning of various parameters."
Actually 0.9.1 is out as well, but not mentioned in the News section of the webpage, just downloads: CELT 0.9.1 greatly improves the packet loss concealment. This change is especially dramatic in fixed point mode. The 0.9.1 bit-stream is compatible with 0.9.0. Though I'm now starting to wonder if 0.9.x is bit-stream compatible with 0.8.x...
Usually they are not bit-stream compatible, that's why I wanted to wait for the new mumble release, or at least a recent snapshot. But after talking with upstream yesterday, they don't seem to be interested in playing nice with source-based distros. Since other packages also started using celt they better need to be tested as well. I guess I'll just commit a masked version later today to ease testing and avoid expected breakage, and we can unmask it if everything is fine/fixed.
upstream says celt is in soft-freeze now, so they will only change the bitstream if bugs occur.

Opus has replaced celt as a codec (and has finally been approved in RFC 6716). So you may want to look into that instead.
