I must quote that I use a prelinked system, and simply the compilation of libwmf, a library that abiword depends on, fails. Apologise my bad english. For further information. just request it and I'll try to find it to you. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. (shell)$ su 2. (shell)# emerge abiword or (shell)$ emerge libwmf 3. Actual Results: /bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -mcpu=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -o libwmf.la -rpath /usr/lib -no-undefined -version-info 8:0:1 -release 0.2 -export-dynamic font.lo stream.lo wmf.lo xml.lo ipa/libipa.la libwmflite.la extra/gd/libgd.la -lfreetype -lz -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lSM -lICE -lX11 -lexpat -ljpeg -lpng -lz -lm rm -fr .libs/libwmf.la .libs/libwmf.* .libs/libwmf-0.2.* gcc -shared font.lo stream.lo wmf.lo xml.lo -Wl,--whole-archive ipa/.libs/libipa.al extra/gd/.libs/libgd.al -Wl,--no-whole-archive -Wl,--rpath -Wl,/var/tmp/portage/libwmf-0.2.8/work/libwmf-0.2.8/src/.libs -L/usr/X11R6/lib ./.libs/libwmflite.so /usr/lib/libfreetype.so -lSM -lICE -lX11 /usr/lib/libexpat.so /usr/lib/libjpeg.so -lpng -lz -lm -Wl,-soname -Wl,libwmf-0.2.so.7 -o .libs/libwmf-0.2.so.7.1.0 extra/gd/.libs/libgd.al: member extra/gd/.libs/libgd.al(gd.lo) in archive is not an object collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[3]: *** [libwmf.la] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/libwmf-0.2.8/work/libwmf-0.2.8/src' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/libwmf-0.2.8/work/libwmf-0.2.8/src' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/libwmf-0.2.8/work/libwmf-0.2.8' make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 !!! could you try out 0.2.8.2 please
Sorry, but exactly the same error still appears in version 0.2.8.2
could you perhaps do this: emerge libwmv >& log and post that log as a bzip2 attachment ?
Hello: I've re-tried to install it, and then it installed without. I don't know which was the real problem, but I guess it was one of mine and not relationed with the package, so I'd better resolve the bug as INVALID =).
glad it worked out for you ;)
