That host is not a Gentoo mirror. It is a thirdparty mirror for both GNU and Ubuntu: ftp://ftp.piotrkosoft.net/pub/mirrors/ubuntu/ ftp://ftp.piotrkosoft.net/pub/mirrors/ftp.gnu.org/gnu/ Please confirm that one of those two paths is what your wget was fetching from.

Someone should remove it from thirdpartymirrors.
