Step to reproduce : 1/ Under KDE4.4.5, open the Traditional Menu Based Application Launcher 2/ Select a category and Right-Click on the label of some application 3/ Select "Add to desktop" 4/ Right Click on the Icon created on the desktop by action 3/ 5/ Select Icon Settings 6/ Under the Application Tab, make some modification. I tested : - Inserting kdesu before the command line within the command field - Selecting Run as a different user / root within the Advanced Options window 7/ Wait for the system configuration to update 8/ Reopen the Traditional Menu Based Application Launcher, one can see that : Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Actual Results: A/ The application is no longer labeled in it's menu category B/ The apllication is labeled (with a default icon) in the lost+found category Expected Results: KDE menu unchanged (Application lable still in place in its category)
Additionally : 9/ Launch the Menu Editor 10/ Select Edit / Restore to System Menu One can see that : C/ Items are correctly restored in their original place in the menu, however, icons created on the desktop at step 3 are deleted.
