Description Bartosz Maruszewski 2003-11-29 04:37:22 UTC
I have no network access. I copied the dl-stage.sh from the webpage and run it.
I got bad results -- there were '(' ')' or URLs like:
mirror://kernel/test/binutils...
almost every file was duplicated (one from ibiblio and one from origin source
like ftp.gnu.org). So I thought I forgot to run mirrorselect, but...
When I run mirrorselect -i -o >>/mnt/gentoo/etc/make.conf (or -s4 -a ) according
to install.html on the Install CD I get error saying
netselect expected 7 arguments and got 4 (or something like this)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Following exactly the install instruction.

I have downloaded Gentoo 1.4 Live CD, extracted stage1-20030910.tar.gz and
downloaded portage-20031127.tar.gz

I don't quite understand your problem. you have no network access? in that case
mirrorselect is kind of pointless. In any event this bug is old and there is a
new version on the way.
