On the first start up of evolution, it is the size of a postage stamp and there are tons of "camel" warnings. It works OK, but these things seem to indicate there is trouble. Check out the URL referenced from this bug report for the camel warnings and another user who is seeing the postage stamp sized application on the initial run. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge evolution 2.run it 3. Actual Results: A bunch of "camel-WARNING" lines like in the URL provided. Application starts with postage stamp size. Expected Results: No errors in background window. I have no idea if they mean anything important. Application should start up at a reasonable window dimension for an email application.
what sort of warnings? can you give us a little more detail? did you upgrade from an older version? if so which version?
See the forum article I linked for the warnings, as posted by the first user in that thread. CAMEL warnings - whatever they are.
error: (evolution:26998): camel-WARNING **: Invalid root: '//home/d99ma/evolution/local/Outbox/mbox.ibex.index' looks like a local evolution settings problem. please try moving away ~/evolution (for safe keeping to say, ~/evolution-backup) and restarting evolution.
i think this has to do with gnome2_pkg_postinst not running for evolution. i've fixed this now while reviewing the ebuild. thanks for your report.
