The ebuilds for alsa in portage seem to be well behind the current development builds available from http://www.alsa-project.org. These propsed ebuilds have been tested on my x86 platform, however someone with the other Gentoo supported hardware should be able to see if they work for ppc, etc.: _pre3.ebuild alsa-oss-1.0.0_pre1.ebuild alsa-firmware-1.0.0_pre3.ebuild alsa-tools-1.0.0_pre3.ebuild alsa-lib-1.0.0_pre3.ebuild alsa-utils-1.0.0_pre3.ebuild Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge sync 2. look for alsa-[package name]-1.0.0_pre(whatever) 3. it's not there Actual Results: See discussion above. Expected Results: Need new ebuilds for the more recent alsa 1.0.0 (pre) releases.
