I have a notebook ( HP compaq  nx9005 ) with windows xp running on /dev/hda1 
with 40GB. i created with fdisk a extended partition, and followed the 
installation instructions ( created /boot, swap with 512M, root with rest of 
space), i used ext2 for /boot , ext3 for /, emerged syslog-ng and other 
modules, also pcmcia-cs. 
after reboot i can't type anything, nor can i change the window (alt+f1, ..)

what can i do ?

running gentoo

In BIOS I had tu turn off the "Lecacy USB Support", than it was all fine.

Nevertheless, thx ..

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
