Description Bert Geens (theBlackDragon) 2010-11-22 09:18:49 UTC
roundcube requires the sqlite use flag on php to be set even though the postgres use flag is set for it on a per-package basis. The problem does not occur when postgres is set as a global use flag in make.conf

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. # echo "mail-client/roundcube postgres" > /etc/portage/package.use
2. emerge -p roundcube

Actual Results:
% emerge -p roundcube

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

emerge: there are no ebuilds built with USE flags to satisfy "dev-lang/php[sqlite]".
!!! One of the following packages is required to complete your request:
- dev-lang/php-5.3.3-r3 (Change USE: +sqlite)
(dependency required by "mail-client/roundcube-0.4.2" [ebuild])
(dependency required by "roundcube" [argument])

Expected Results:
Roundcube should have installed normally as a database backend was set.

I am unable to reproduce this bug when postgres is only set for roundcube on a per-package basis. Can you post your emerge --info?

Comment 3 Tim Harder gentoo-dev 2010-12-30 07:32:47 UTC
I think I may have fixed this in the roundcube-0.5_rc that I just added to the tree.

I added a sqlite USE flag that defaults to on so it is used for db support by default if nothing else is requested. If you want something else just set "-sqlite" and enable whatever you want in your package use flags.
Comment 4 Andrea Conti 2011-01-04 18:29:24 UTC
This problem is still there in 0.5_rc for those having php built only with +mysql, +mysqli or +mssql (which are all valid DB backends for roundcube).
Comment 5 Andrea Conti 2011-01-04 18:33:34 UTC
Ok, I should have read #3 better. Setting -sqlite on mail-client/roundcube works.

Sorry for the noise.

Comment 6 Tim Harder gentoo-dev 2011-02-10 18:51:38 UTC
Closing as this should be fixed now when USE="-sqlite" is set.
