Kitchensync has been ported from KDE3 to KDE4. From the homepage: KitchenSync is a synchronization application based on OpenSync. With KitchenSync you are able to synchronize cell phones, organizer, palms and other Personal Information Manager with KDE PIM (KAddressbook, KOrganizer, KNotes). An Akonadi plugin is now ready to support KDE4 PIM. Check out http://www.opensync.org to get more information about KitchenSync's backend, OpenSync. The source code is maintained in KDE's Playground: http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/playground/pim/kitchensync/. Use the following command to get a local copy: svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/playground/pim/kitchensync Would be great to see it back in portage to ease the sync with cell phones. Thanks in advance
This is an interesting project, but more work than expected (kitchensync requires trunk libopensync requires ...) I started in my personal overlay (dilfridge in Layman), but unless I get it to do anything reasonable it won't move anywhere else...
Let's just say, libopensync development is moving at a tremendous speed, if compared to a snail. Sorry, but I dont see anything happening here soon. Should opensync-0.40 come out, then that's a reason for reopening. My bet is on aliens landing first.
