Installing nvidia 96.43.19 drivers solves this issue

It would be nice to see the ebuild in the portage tree and I imagine that someone is actually working on this ebuild right now. Thanks!

There is a dependency problem with the nvidia-driver and xserver-xorg... I think that the patch does the trick.

What is the problem? I can run .19 fine with xorg-server-1.7.7-r1. Why should I need to require a higher version in the nvidia-drivers ebuild?

The question is, why should I stay stuck in xorg-server-1.7.7-r1 when the latest version is xorg-server-1.9.2.901 because the ebuild doesn't allow this?
