I don't like the fact that gtk use flag makes transmission depend on packages from gnome-base (gconf and orbit). I've added link to similar bug report on debian bugzilla and it seems that there is an easy workaround.

We have gconf dependency only if USE=gnome enabled. And libcanberra is enabled only if USE=sound. So please, clarify what you want here...

You're correct. gconf was pulled by gtk flag on libcanberra and orbit by gconf.
