Description Christian Seifert 2010-11-10 16:07:37 UTC
I am using iSCSI disks and use the _netdev Option in /etc/fstab. This seems to be a best practice. /etc/init.d/localmount tries to mount this Volume because it is ext3, but it ist still dependent on networking.
I saw a pretty old bug related to this but I don't see why this is still the case.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use _netdev in fstab and assume this is an iSCSI device
2.Reboot and see if localmount tries to mount it

Actual Results:
localmount tries to mount

Expected Results:
localmount skips mounting

I added -O no_netdev to the start() mount command and this seems to do the job. Can't this be standard behavior in openrc ?

you need to post `emerge --info` in every report just like the docs say

baselayout-1 handles this, but i guess it was lost during openrc migration

This is fixed in the overlay and will be included in the next release.

I need to be more specific here. I did not see this until afterb 0.6.4, was released, so I mean to say the next release after 0.6.4.
