tested on no-multilib. All is ok.
(In reply to comment #1) > Did you try to emerge this package using a non-multilib profile? Yes, the machine I tried to install this on has a non-multilib profile. Scouring http://sources.gentoo.org/ it does seems that older versions did require the emulation libraries, but that was in the past.
