Description Tiago Marques 2010-11-07 19:25:29 UTC
Incorrect rendering of some flash applets occus when using any version of nvidia-drivers and the latest adobe flash(10.2.161.23_pre20100927), as well as previous ones.
I can't seem to reproduce this on x86 + intel, so I'm asking for help in finding out the root cause. Please give feedback.

The URL for the test case(one of) is http://212.100.232.116/latada/mdshots-latada-v.swf

Will send attachement with the said bug.

Reproducible: Always

Please see the attachment. There is an inverse set of the logo and letter ghosting behind the actual one.

I definitely see the ghost rendering on my 64-bit system with Nvidia drivers and the latest 10.2 flash player. However, I suspect you will get a lot better mileage reporting this to Adobe, since this is a closed-source project and we really have no control over or insight into what it does or how it does it.

https://bugs.adobe.com/flashplayer/

I suppose to narrow down why this could be happening you could try:
-> Disabling hardware acceleration in flash
-> Run the same 64-bit system where you have the issues, but use a different display driver, such as the simple VGA driver, or perhaps the opensource 2D-only nvidia "nouveau" driver.
-> Run on a 32-bit system with nvidia drivers and the 10.2 flash version.

But when you finally found out exactly what the problem is, you'll basically have to report it to adobe to get anything done about it anyway.
