Description Hans de Graaff gentoo-dev Security 2010-11-07 05:42:31 UTC
This version has been in the tree for several months, uses the new ruby-fakegem install mechanism, and provides a major version bump over the currently stable version.

This look to be a bug in facets where it doesn't deal properly with 32bit. Ah, those minority arches :-) It seems the author mistook the change between 32/64 bit for a change in ruby versions.

amd64 done
Comment 4 Thomas Kahle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-03-08 10:16:37 UTC
What should be done here for x86?

Please choose from
-) You patch away the failing test for x86.
-) You restrict tests in general.
-) We Drop stable

Cheers.

I'll go with option 4) you keep 1.4 stable for now and we'll see if upstream can fix this. Note that the code is broken, not the tests...

I've removed you from cc until there is more news.

ia64 stable
Comment 7 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-07-17 18:27:21 UTC
ppc64 done. Leaving open as its not clear if there is more work to be done.

This should be fixed in facets 2.9.1, but I haven't been able to add that yet because it uses a new testing framework that clashes with sqlite-2.x (both try to install /usr/bin/lemon).

facets is now masked for removal:

# Hans de Graaff <graaff@gentoo.org> (28 Apr 2012)
# History of broken code, new releases use a test system
# that does not work itself and has many new dependencies.
# Current stable version blocks rubygems stabilization.
# No reverse dependencies.
# Masked for removal in 30 days.
