I get syntax error in configure file while emerge pango.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Might be a problem with autoconf.

At least sys-libs/glibc, sys-devel/gcc and sys-devel/autoconf are out of date. Please update those to the latest stable versions. Reopen this bug report if the problem persists.

A user in #gentoo IRC encountered the same failure, it turned out that autoconf-2.63 is too old. Updating to 2.65-r1 solved the issue.

2.65-r1 is the latest stable. Please update your system.
