Description Albert W. Hopkins 2010-11-07 00:18:59 UTC
Since upgrading to dev-python/pygobject-2.26.0. I cannot run rhythmbox. No window appears and I can't seem to find any reasonable error message. I've tried re-compiling rhythmbox and adding the new cairo flag to pygobject but neither had any effect.

Downgrading to dev-python/pygobject-2.21.5 makes it work again.

Debug log and emerge info to follow.

I have the same problem: with dev-python/pygobject-2.26.0 totem, wicd-gtk and blueman crashes
Comment 5 Andrey 2010-11-07 11:16:51 UTC
media-sound/sonata-1.6.2.1 segfault with pygobject-2.26.0:
sonata[22560]: segfault at 3 ip b764cc9e sp bfde0490 error 4 in libpython2.6.so.1.0[b75ec000+114000]
and works fine with 2.21.5

fwiw, I just tried rhythmbox git master (git describe : v0.12.8-589-gb83bc97) ... and it still crashes in the same way.
