Description Giorgos Tsiapaliwkas 2010-11-06 11:23:25 UTC
my kmail app fails to send, check, receive mails.

i am using kde-4.4.5 and my machine is testing (~).

i checked the setting in my gmail acc and everything is fine.
i used kmail from opensuse and it was working fine.
moreover with my kmail i cannot manage any mail acc.

when i try to check my mails i receive the error:
"error while checking acount terietor@gmail.com for ne mail.the process for the imaps://imap.gmail.com protocol died"

when i try to send an email i receive the error:
"Sending failed:
smtp://smtp.gmail.com
The message will stay in the 'outbox' folder until you either fix the problem (e.g. a broken address) or remove the message from the 'outbox' folder.
The following transport was used:
 terietor@gmai.com"

thank you for your time and your help.

Reproducible: Always

the issue has been solved.

i had to reemerge dev-libs/openssl and then the problem was solved.
