Description Christohper Harrington 2010-11-04 19:02:07 UTC
On a fresh merge of net-ftp/oftpd-0.3.7-r5 the config file contains the following:

# FTPPORT (TCP port)
# 22 is the standard ftp port, but you can change it here to something else
FTPPORT=22

That's very wrong; the default FTP port is 21. 22 is SSH.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge oftpd
2. cat /etc/conf.d/oftpd
Comment 1 Christohper Harrington 2010-11-04 19:03:46 UTC
An additional "typo" I noticed is the first line of the default configuration file:

# Please read the oftd(8) man page for a more detailed explaination of these
# variables.

That should be "oftpd(8)" not "oftd(8)".

I think this bug has to be reported upstream
Comment 3 Michael Weber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-11-06 01:38:16 UTC
no need to report it upstream, it's just an gentoo supplied error in the $FIlESDIR ;-).
