Description jalan 2010-11-04 16:50:51 UTC
app-mobilephone/bitpim/files contains the following file that is not used by any of the bitpim ebuilds:

maketarball

Please remove it.

Upstream site doesn't seem to include a source tarball, only prebuilt Windows/OSX and RPM builds.
This looks like a script to generate a source tarball from subversion, and is used for bumping the package.
Propably not good idea to remove it.

Is it normal to store things that are only useful to the maintainers in the portage tree? Is there a better place to put things like this? I'm not suggesting anything--I really don't know.

Well, actually better place is in the gentoo tree, in patchsets:
http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo/src/patchsets/
So I guess this should be moved...
