It took me long to figure out that changes of sound ownership are due to
pam_console and have nothing to do with devfsd. Maybe you should add a comment
telling so to devfsd.conf where most people look in the first place. Perferably
to every section of pam-managed devices, especially to sound. Maybe some comment
on dev-state would help someone.

bug#27857 and bug#29463 had similar problem.
Also note bug#31877 on pam vs. dev-state and the future of both.
