Description Lia 2010-11-04 00:16:14 UTC
media-sound/jack_mixer from proaudio overlay can't be build if ladi overlay is used and ladish is installed

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add proaudio and ladi to layman
2. emerge ladish
3. emerge jack_mixer

Actual Results:
emerge media-sound/lash-0.6.0_rc2 from ladi overlay as a dep of jack_mixer comes up with these errors:

 * Detected file collision(s):
 *
 * 	/usr/lib64/liblash.so.1.1.1
 * 	/usr/lib64/pkgconfig/lash-1.0.pc
 * 	/usr/lib64/liblash.so
 * 	/usr/lib64/liblash.so.1
 *
 * Searching all installed packages for file collisions...
 *
 * Press Ctrl-C to Stop
 *
 * media-sound/ladish-9999
 * 	/usr/lib64/liblash.so
 * 	/usr/lib64/liblash.so.1
 * 	/usr/lib64/liblash.so.1.1.1
 * 	/usr/lib64/pkgconfig/lash-1.0.pc

Ladish seems to be a replacement for lash. Is there a workaround for this problem so all ebuilds which are pulling into lash will use the ladish libs instead?

Hi Lia,

Both of the overlays you've mentioned are unofficial, and the Ladi overlay is not even present in layman's default overlay list (http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/overlays/repositories.xml).

As such you should contact the owners of these overlays directly. The only contact details I've been able to find for them are given below:

Proaudio: evermind@tuxfamily.org
Ladi: marco@marcochapeau.org

Since both of these overlays are unofficial and therefore this problem is not a Gentoo bug, I'm marking this bug as INVALID.
