BPE is a nice ncurses based binary editor. From the website: "Bpe is a relatively-simple and easy-to-use, screen-oriented, curses-based binary editor. "

What I like the most is the display configuration (to try it out, type bpe some-file-name and then type ? for help inside it).

I will attach a ready-made (tested under AMD64) ebuild for it.
