There's a more actual ebuild (1.13) in the Armageddon overlay… works fine for me.
Anyway a new version has been released recently: 1.14

i would like asking for directly support by gentoo dev to putting in in portage. its in any cases a a usefull utility

tman: even if it is not in the main portage tree, it is already available on at least three overlays.

I'm looking for a way to mimic the behavior of MacOS when recording the desktop - draw circles around the mouse pointer, animate when clicked, etc. I found this, and it is still actively (if anemically) under development. https://github.com/scottkirkwood/key-mon Cheers.
