Description Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-11-01 09:37:39 UTC
I just bumped Lirc to 0.8.7 which fixes compile failures with current and coming kernels in stable and testing. Please stabilise.

I should add that it may fail for some drivers but it is better as the current situation.

stable x86
Comment 3 Nils Larsson 2010-11-05 12:46:21 UTC
I want to note that there's a bug[1] that is present in 0.8.7 that wasn't there in 0.8.7_pre1 which affects some drivers(lirc_sir according to LIRC's bug tracker, I hit it with lirc_it87).

The package does not respect LDFLAGS but I choose to proceed because the current stable doesn't look too good to me. amd64 done

Nils, you really need to open a new bug about this
