On ~amd64 system with jpeg-8b and tkimg-1.4.20100510, trying to open a jpeg image in tcl/tk program leads to a segfault (particularly, this crashes tkabber when opening vCards with jpeg images). A more verbose bug report with stack trace is here http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3016150&group_id=52039&atid=465492 , I can confirm the crash. The easiest way to reproduce: sphere:~ % cat z.tcl package require Img image create photo -file /home/konstantin/Deep_Dive.jpg sphere:~ % wish z.tcl zsh: segmentation fault wish z.tcl

Could you try with tkimg-1.4, just committed? Thanks.

The same error even if I rebuild tiff with jbig use-flag enabled
I also have this issue. I have a amd64 sabayon system. I have had the same results as Slava Gorbunov, tkimg 1.4 dose not compile and emerging tiff with the jbig use flag dose not fix the issue.
Could you please test 1.4-r1 and reopen if this isn't fixed? +*tkimg-1.4-r1 (21 Jul 2011) + + 21 Jul 2011; Justin Lecher <jlec@gentoo.org> +tkimg-1.4-r1.ebuild, + +files/tkimg-1.4-nojbig.patch: + Added patch for disabled jbig in bundled tiff, 356907; thanks Jesper Saxtorph + for the patch; Probably also fixes 343525 +
Wrong bug sorry.
But could you test this again with 1.4-r1?
Hello! I use Coccinella and have the similar problem with JPEG avatars. (In reply to comment #8) > But could you test this again with 1.4-r1? I have just downgraded to "dev-tcltk/tkimg-1.4-r1" and it works fine so far.
same with tkimg-1.4-r2?
seems to be now issue anymore.
