I am using media-libs/mesa-7.9 from x11-overlay, and am lacking 3D support in 32bit applications, which seems to have to do with the mesa version in app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-opengl: -- 32bit -- GL_VERSION: 2.1 Mesa 7.8.2 GL_RENDERER: Software Rasterizer GL_VENDOR: Mesa Project ---- -- 64bit -- GL_VERSION: 2.1 Mesa 7.9 GL_RENDERER: Gallium 0.4 on NV49 GL_VENDOR: nouveau ---- I assume this issue could be solved by updating emul-linux-x86-opengl to a version of mesa-7.9+gallium, possibly hosted on x11-overlay. I know you usually don't support such bleeding edge setups in emul-linux-x86, but I nevertheless hope for the update. :) Thanks in advance. Reproducible: Always
X11 team, when will mesa-7.9 be moved to the main tree (even hard masked if needed)?
I want to post eselect-mesa to gentoo-devel for review first. I have been meaning to do this for some time, hopefully I manage to do this in the coming days.
OK, thanks for the info :-)
Now after the mesa-7.9 reached portage, are there any other obstacles before emul-libs can be upgraded to mesa-7.9?
Make that 7.10!
Mesa 7.9.1 has been released. Please upgrade the emul -libraries! ftp://ftp.freedesktop.org/pub/mesa/7.9.1/
Fixed in 20110129 (and -r99 for latest testing)
