Hi,
I'm using a cross environment to create a small footprint system. 
emerging baselayout require util-linux, but when util-linux ./configure is run, it fails with this line:
configure: error: cramfs selected but libz not found

When I installed  sys-libs/zlib the installation of util-linux went well.

Again, thanks for your help.
I do think cramfs should not be enable by default. 
If I need it, I'll compile it with cramfs flag.
